About Swim Florida Currently with over 500 swimmers, Swim Florida incorporates swim teams and locations throughout Lee, Collier and Charlotte County Florida. Our goal is to teach competitive swimming to the youth of South West Florida. All swimmers are members of United States Swimming, and our coaches are all USS certified and teach swimmers all they will need to compete. This includes rules, stroke mechanics, and a competitive philosophy of good sportsmanship and successful training habits. Our swimmers attend both Swim Florida league meets and USS sanctioned competitions. Swimmers range in age from five through senior year in high school. We currently have several swimmers who have gone on to the college level at the University of Florida, Stanford, Adelphi, Princeton, Oklahoma, Penn State, FGCU, Florida State, Florida Atlantic, Tampa, Arkansas, Kentucky, Xavier, US Naval Academy, US Merchant Marines and more.
